WHY BERNIE SANDERS IS NOT OUR NEXT PRESIDENT: As I have said numerous times, I have never liked Hillary Clinton (although I think she would have made a better President than Donald Trump, that still isn't saying much). But post-election news has been coming out that shows more and more clearly how, at Clinton's behest, the Democratic National Committee abandoned Sanders just as he was attaining critical mass (they hung me out to dry with Obama and I'm sure as hell not gonna let it happen again!). The number one problem with Hillary Clinton as a Presidential candidate is that her main reason for wanting to be President is that she figures it's her turn. Doesn't work that way, ma'am.
If you've spent as much time reading discussions with Trump voters as I have (or talking to them in person, for that matter), it's patently obvious that, had Sanders been the Democratic candidate, he would have easily peeled enough votes away from The Donald to win the election. Sanders is far more likeable, has his temper and mouth under control, and more than anything (this one's the kicker) HE IS DEADLY SERIOUS ABOUT TURNING WASHINGTON UPSIDE DOWN. Look at Trump's cabinet picks and it's already obvious that, if you were a desperate working-class voter, the joke's on you. Paul Ryan, Charlie Pierce's "zombie-eyed granny starver from Wisconsin," now has more power than he ever did. And if you liked to rip on Obamacare, imagine the unbounded joy you're gonna feel when you find out you don't have any health insurance at all. Hey, it's gonna be great!
Jeff Simpson over at Cognitive Dissidence breaks it all down for you. Pour yourself a stiff drink first--you're gonna need it.
