WOULDN'T YOU BE A LITTLE BIT WORRIED IF... you lived in a state where the governor refused to respond to a registered letter and follow-up e-mails by correctional workers regarding deteorating safety conditions at state correctional facilties?

In this state anyway, corrections officers work for the governor. So, basically, their boss is ignoring them.

You'd think that, in the business of running a state, politics would have to stop somewhere. But then, you wouldn't be living in the nightmare world Scott Walker has made of Wisconsin.

And by the way, I am not at all heartened by the fact that I can't find a whisper of this story in any of our local or national news media. I found out about it only because I was once a member of AFSCME and I'm still on their mailing list. [Note that the letter was mailed back in February.]
