QUOTE OF THE DAY & SORRY FOR THE DELAY: I don't want to appear overconfident (far be it from me!)... but could it be that we've turned some kind of corner with the death of bin Laden?
"Many of us never really understood what exactly is jihad," said Nader Hazem, a 27-year-old engineer in Cairo. "Blowing ourselves up anywhere there is an infidel? And what will it lead to? What will Islam gain if bin Laden is successful with every attack against Western targets he plans?"
Good questions, Nader. And I think you know the answer to the last one.
But you didn't "understand jihad" because there's nothing there to understand. Basically, it's just a five-letter justification for mass murder. Kinda like judenrein, except with fewer letters.
But anything I could have wanted to say about the demise of the world's master terrorist have already been said better by Lewis Medlock. I might add only that this is probably the first time I have been proud of President Obama, and I think it should lay to rest any rumors that he's a Manchurian candidate planted by Muslim extremists to destroy America.
The latest delay in postings is due to its being planting season here in Little Siberia, and as my handful of regular readers knows, that means I'm driving fertilizer for the Co-op (as well as working my usual job as a school bus driver, where I've gotten more hours this year, which would have made me better off financially had not Scott Walker become dictator governor and obliterated my increase in income by giving it to his cardigan-wearing buddies at University Ridge Country Club).
So that's it for now. Gotta get back to work, so I can help the cardigan-wearers "create jobs" for themselves. (Wanna be a caddy???)
