03/14/08:

UH OH, TROUBLE IN PEPPERLAND: Some random quotations about Obama, picked up from (of all places) Dhimmicratic Underground:

Sigh - I had a good friend of mine last night chortle about double standards and us Democrats this week.

First he noted the whole spitzer mess.

Then he spoke about if Obama's pastor was a Caucasian pastor for say Bush or McCain that we (Democrats) would go ape s&^% about it.

You know I hate to admit it but he has a point, and one we would do well to acknowledge.

Consider this that we as progressives are only to happy to hang Abranoff
[sic—ed.] et al around the GOP.

When one of ours get caught in bind are we to look the other way?

This is what makes it so hard for me to make head way with some of my long time friends who have drifted to the GOP.

*

he titled his book "audacity of hope' from a sermon given by this preacher of hate.

cmon.

obama is going to have to (and will) do something to seriously distance himself from this.

obama is more attached, PER HIS OWN SPEECHES AND BOOKS to this preacher than somebody who merely goes to a certain church.

and i say this AS an obama supporter.

Brother!!

*

this is hate 101. just because it comes from (presumably) somebody on the left doesn't make it any less hateful.

i get really tired of the "hate the rich", "hate the privileged" schtick.

*

t's his fucking mentor/pastor/spiritual leader not some random staffer

Are Obamites serious? Small cogs in a national campaign that a candidate barely even knows matters more than one's mentor/pastor/and spiritual leader? Wright goes to the heart of who Obama is--listen to Obama's own words on the importance of his religion to him.

How many other politicians are naive enough to go to a church with a racist pastor? Exactly...

*

This creep has been Obama's pastor/mentor now for the past 20 years. Obama attends this creep's services and listens to this creep's vile, hateful, racist sermons. And he keeps going back, year after year, month after month, week after week, soaking up this creep's crap like a sponge.

It says more about Obama than any of the empty rhetoric in his own speeches.

But of course, ugly realities like that are just water off a duck's back to the kool-aid drinkers, who live in constant denial.

*

how naive are Kennedy, Kerry, etc. I mean... didn't they vet this guy AT ALL before they endorsed him? Did they set him up on purpose? What gives?

And it's not like I picked my way through a million postings in order to find these nuggets. They're everywhere.

Which leads me to a couple of observations:

1) Some people on the left are finally getting wise to the whole race-mongering PC game... which means that it may only be a matter of time until that famous dictum of PC racialism, "It is not possible for minorities to be racist against white people," just doesn't cut it anymore.

2) And if things are this bad for Obama on his side o' the fence, I'd say he's toast (and to quote one pundit) I AM NOT BEING RACIST BY SAYING THAT!

I'd say you're right. I just got done spreading jam on him myself >:(

I am ashamed--DEEPLY PROFOUNDLY HORRIBLY ASHAMED--that I took even a tiny sip from the vat of this guy's Flavor-Aid (what they *really* drank at Jonestown). I (mostly cynically I now realize) thought perhaps Obama would be a salve on our racial wounds. How do you like them apples? Naive even in my cynicism? Pathetic. If it weren't so late, and if I hadn't spent the *whole day* (literally) venting my spleen about this on my discussion site (mostly to retorts of "Oh yeah! Well what about McCain and Parsley?!" /deb chews holes in her wrists and gouges out her own eyes, hurling them across the room and under the desk with the dustbunnies just to avoid reading any more of that hypocritical bullshit), I would go right now and post the mea culpa to end all mea culpas on my own blog.

Don't worry though, it will be written. Might take me a day or so to flesh it all out, but I simply will NOT be a party to hypocrisy, and I will NOT try to hide behind the fact that no one even reads my stupid blog anyway and I could probably get away with hoping no one even realized how much I "supported" Obama until now.

Excuse me while I go brush the stale taste of my own vomit out of my mouth...AGAIN.

Deb--

S'okay. I myself read "Audacity of Hope" last summer and was left thinking, "What a good man. Even though he's not spot-on about everything, I don't think he'd be a bad President."

I'll stop short of calling him the Manchurian Candidate, because there's a chance that he isn't.

But why would Obama consider this insane bastard his "mentor," when it would appear that Obama himself truly doesn't hold reparations-type hatred toward Whitey? Did Obama believe the Sharpton/Jackson hype about his "not being black enough"???

I suppose we'll never know--hard to figure out how Barack is gonna dig his way out of this hole--and I don't know whether that's too bad or not.

I tend to go with "not."

Just this morning Al Sharpton said we must come and listen to him talk. we took it out of context! Right!--what about IMUS!?

Where is Wright's philantrophy, piete? Spew from the pew! I did not know such profane was so abundant in the black churches! Is that what it means to be black enough?

I am not a Jehovah's witness but they are the kindess people! I studied with them for two years and went to the Kingdom Hall. Good people-none of this! Crapp!

I always thought too - this is a blowback of the elections, look what they do! Attack!

Should I question this as extremist - why do they hate US? Reflecting on the past evils of the world! I love America even though there are bad people we must make it better not breed more hatred! Their children will inheritate their seed. Instead of planting words of hope and humanity.
One woman on MSNBC said 'you brought us here on ships as slaves'! We did who did that? Does she want to go back? She has never been a slave!
People tearing and regressing America's Great progress- of what we could be.

Dick Gregory would tell you that!

This man speaks with fire in his belly!

If Love was shown- our children will be different. There is no hope with this! Nothing gained! Just to carry on with mayhem
riots murder. A repeat of history!

America - is a Great Nation, coming unraveled by loose tongues and untamed hearts! Causing such a devide!

I pray for our soldiers who fight to keep us safe!
