IN MY WHITE CHURCH: I know that some of you have expressed misgivings about details that have recently emerged about what goes on in my white church.

First of all, let me bring some context to the idea of the "white church": A place where Americans of European ancestry can come together as one, singing the hymns of our white forefathers, untroubled by the darkness of the streets outside where people of color often despise us, excoriate us, and denigrate us as "The Man."

With that background, it should be easier to understand why white people, in the unique setting of the White Peoples' Church, occasionally gather to hear the words of the Imperial Wizard. Yes, the Imperial Wizard has said some hurtful things about people of color and Jews and even Catholics... but he has done a great deal for the white community, and has moved whites of lesser station to struggle to overcome the burden of their whiteness and go on to accomplish great things.

And so I do not disown the Imperial Wizard or disavow my long friendship with him, and I believe that it is incumbent upon people of color and Jews and Catholics to understand that he has said some inflammatory things, perhaps, but that basically these things were said in the setting of the White Peoples' Church and that people other than white people perhaps have taken these words the wrong way.

So in closing, there is really no reason why you people of color and Jews and Catholics shouldn't vote for me, and certainly no reason why I should worship in a more Christian setting than the White Peoples' Church.
