02/18/07: "YOU BROKE IT, IT'S YOURS": In the most cynical calculus of yesterday's moonbats, this used to be the rallying cry of what the United States ought to do about Iraq. That was before their worst instincts won the day and "You broke it..." was replaced by the current snivelling of "Cut and Run" or "Slow Bleed."The Sixties radicals who now run our media and our universities (and, lamentably, much of our government) are all a-flutter over the possibility of "another Vietnam" and a masochistic demonstration to the world of the Limits Of American Power as they "teach Chimpy Bu$Hitler a lesson". This evokes no images of the Vietnamese boat people or the millions slaughtered by Pol Pot; instead, they envision Joan Baez at Woodstock, the SDS riots at the Democratic Convention, and a generation that brought The War Machine to a screeching halt (never mind that it was the wrong thing to do).And for these deluded fools, a lifetime spent in penance for American wrongs done to dark-skinned peoples a hundred years before they were born (slavery, the Indian wars) somehow justifies the abandonment of the dark-skinned people who need them the most: the Iraqi Muslims who dared to believe in democracy, the Kurds who have been our allies all along, and the Afghanis who just want to send their little girls to school.Word up to you sorry-assed moonbat multitudes: You're going to be DEAD before you get to enjoy the fallout of "another Sixties!", and you will leave your children mired in a never-ending maelstrom of terrorism, appeasement, and death. But it'll be worth it, 'cause you taught Scrooge McChimpy a lesson.Your nation thanks you. Now crawl off in a hole and die.Posted by Alois on
