DAILY GAAAAAAZ-O-LEEEEEEN! AWARD: "...I didn't enjoy sharing the stage with an inflatable doll, however, I knew that that was what I was getting into when I joined the band. Frank was a total package of irreverence and, unlike myself, was totally incapable of embarrassment." — Keyboard/violin virtuoso Eddie Jobson, talking about his stint with Frank ZappaPosted by Alois on
I was just twelve when my brother put Zappa on and I could not believe what I was listening to! "What is this? Where did you find this?" Call any 'vegetable?' Everything Zappa did it must be learned word for word! It was just so good! Unordinary! Later I learned my cousin she lived in Florida and she would go to Frank's house. She said his mom was always after him! Good way! The kind of woman you would imagine in rubber boots up to her knees. A very good family. I heard how Zappa got out of the army! The peanut butter thing! There are some that are just not meant for war! None of us, but I mean they are in deed a different breed! Zappa broke the mold!!! There was a time we just could not play enough Zappa! Karen a girl I know, we went to a restuarant and they took so long I said to her "you will have to explain to Frank why we are late!" We kept it up and we got a very nice free meal! Thankyou Frank!
